Team coaching

Yes – as a manager (or team coach) I can stabilize teams!

What should you do if you recognize withdrawal, passivity, groupthink, power struggles or blindness to reality in the dynamics of your team? In other words, if you notice a so-called regression.

As a manager (or team coach), it is important to intervene in a targeted manner in order to promote the positive development of the team.

Pay attention to the following aspects:

1️⃣ Clear communication: Clear and direct communication helps to reduce misunderstandings and conflicts. Encourage group members to express their thoughts and feelings openly and to listen actively.

2️⃣ Role clarification: A clear distribution of roles enables group members to better understand their responsibilities and tasks and to behave accordingly. Help the group to clarify roles and responsibilities and redistribute them if necessary!

3️⃣ Structure and goals: A clear structure and defined goals help group members to feel more secure and oriented. Help the group to define a clear structure and realistic goals!

4️⃣ Emotion regulation: Emotions play an important role in group processes. Help the group members to regulate their emotions and deal with them constructively!

5️⃣ Reflection and feedback: A regular reflection and feedback culture can help group members to better understand their behavior and interactions and adjust them if necessary. Support the group in establishing a constructive feedback culture.

Overall, as a leader and team coach, it is about creating a safe and supportive environment in which group members can openly address their emotions and needs and work together to develop a positive group dynamic.
